Voting for the 59th TV Week Logie Awards opens tomorrow.
The voting period from Monday November 21 – Sunday December 18 runs for half the duration of last year’s voting.
This is the public’s only chance to vote in the “Best” categories, which include the Gold Logie winner.
In 2017, there will be 27 Logies awarded, including a returning category Most Outstanding Factual Or Documentary Program.
“We want TV fans across the country to let us know which television shows and stars they have enjoyed watching this year,” TV Week Editor Emma Nolan says.
“We are thrilled to be bringing together Australia’s biggest stars for this fantastic event,” TV Week General Manager Jayne Ferguson says. “It is a shorter voting period this year, so we are urging people to head to www.tvweeklogieawards.com.au and cast their votes early.”
The Logies are locked in for Sunday April 23, 2017 at Crown, signalling the return of ratings after Easter, and airing on Nine.

Pamela Rabe for gold logie. Love the freak
What about new category for most annoying character of the year? like Nina Proudman lol
just went through put all my selections and details in, and then it says we are having technical difficulties please try again later.. just wasted 20 mins
You’d think that they would wait for 2016 to end before voting for your favourite show/actor/presenter of 2016 ended
How many breakthrough/new talent/most promising newcomer categories do we have to muddle through this year? I’ve not been particularly attentive to much of the new local content this year, but there should be plenty of candidates across drama, comedy and the acting categories. Hopefully the supporting categories remain in place. Sunday Tele in Sydney was already tipping Pete Heliar to make it 3 in a row for The Project.
Write this down now: Peter Helliar will be a Gold nominee. In fact we could well be staring down Pete, Waleed & Carrie all nominated for Gold.
And a very deserving Gold nominee he will be 🙂
Glad that the voting period Is shorter. It ran for way too long in previous years. And am happy to see the logies held in April rather than in May.
