People who risk their lives in service of our nation are being honored witha postage stamp that’s being unveiled this morning at the Iowa State Fair.Tom Goodrich is manager of retail operations at the U-S Postal Serviceoffice in Des Moines. He says the 33-cent red, white and blue stamp featuresthe American flag and the words “Honoring Those Who Served” across the top.Goodrich says the new self-adhesive stamp is designed to honor not onlymilitary veterans, but police officers, firefighters and others. He expectsthe post office will go through millions of the 33-centers over the comingmonths.Goodrich says this is considered Veterans’ Day at the Iowa State Fair.
