The UNI Panthers will play the rest of this season without Eric Foster. The junior guard tore an A-C-L in practice on Sunday. The Panthers close out the regular season tonight at home against Southern Illinois. The Salukis are trying to become just the third team in Missouri Valley history to finish the conference race unbeaten. A victory would improve UNI’s record to 18-9 overall and would likely finish in a three-way tie for second if Creighton defeats Wichita State at home tonight. Coach Greg McDermott feels under that scenario the Panthers should get into the N-I-T. He says if they’re the second seed in the conference tournament, they should get some type of postseason play.
