Rejection goes in the Name of Jesus…

People control because they are feeling rejected…

I was having lunch today with the lady who leads prayer at our local fellowship, I’ve been having lunch with her each month since around the middle of last year…

She was the one who introduced me (and my wife Nancy too I believe) to waiting on the Lord in prayer – not coming with lists, or a set agenda in my mind (or in our minds for corporate prayer I suppose) – but coming with no agenda in prayer into His Presence and allowing Him to speak to us as we waited on Him either in silence or during or after worship (this was in our Revival Prayer meeting at the local congregation where Nancy and I met)…

I owe a lot to her for her example – she has seen many, many answers to prayer and was sharing some more of them with me over lunch – very cool…

Anyway, rejection came up in our discussion and I mentioned to her someone very close to me who is trapped in a prison of their own making – rejection…

It is very sad to see this and we agreed that all that is needed is to understand what we’ve been seeing in our local congregation – that Christ did it all on the cross…

In believing in Christ and receiving His Sacrifice we see that God – Forever – accepted us, forgave us, loved us and has now irrevocably stated that He is for us, i.e. that His protection is over us…

In that one act of submission to His Sacrifice – believing on what He completed on our behalf – we were set free…

We died with Him, we were buried with Him, we were raised in newness of life with Him and we were seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus with Him…

Accepted, never to be rejected again…

Hallelujah!!!

Forgiven, never to be un-forgiven again…

Hallelujah!!!

Loved, never to be un-loved again…

Hallelujah!!!

Protected, never to be un-protected again…

Hallelujah!!!

Blessed, never to be un-blessed ever again…

Hallelujah!!!

All freely given to us in the Blood of Jesus…

Those who cut themselves off from this free gift are living in a prison of their own making…

God has died for them, God has offered all these things to them freely – why can’t they reach out and accept this free gift?

The person we were discussing knows the Lord but is “trapped” by rejection – we both know this person fairly well…

But we both know (well I know I know 🙂 ) and I believe she does too – that this person will “come through” for the Lord…

Yes, I get the joy as I type – this person definitely will “come through” for the Lord – and when they do – look out world… 🙂

There is power in unity…

The power of unity that I’ve seen in our local congregation as more and more and more people seem to be grasping this truth is awesome…

One sister who had paralysis in one of her legs from the knee down and needed to walk with crutches was healed after another sister prayed for her in a park – she went back to her doctors and they were shocked to see that she was healed – they called it a “mystery” and were scared to give her her file in case of mis-diagnosis – but the one healed was a nurse so she knew her rights… 🙂

The sister who the Lord used to heal that sister also saw her Mum – who was visiting from China – come to know the Lord and then saw her Mum’s leg “grow out” at a healing meeting – it grew out longer than the “normal” one and then the “normal” one grew out more – this has got a few people “buzzing” in our local congregation and agreeing to pray for all the remaining “sick” people – these healings occurred after I prayed initially for Holly and now more are keen to pray for Holly…

Praise the Lord…

Many were very encouraged through worship on Sunday – which was cool… 🙂

There’s a buzz and an expectancy that God will do more…

The spirit of rejection is not there because we understand the truth so God is free to move in an atmosphere of faith…

This is why dissention, suspicion, slander, backbiting and condemnation causes the Holy Spirit to be grieved and not presence Himself in our gatherings – wherever they take place…

We have to guard the unity with the truth – the Love of God is flowing in our local congregation… 🙂

Once we see we are accepted and are princes and princesses of the King we can “leave the castle bearing gifts” as one brother shared at our local congregation on Sunday morning – expending ourselves for the people (in my words) and not grovelling around on the ground outside the castle begging for food when our Father (the King) has given us everything (his words)…

He (our Father) looks out at us grovelling around and is confused – “Why are they doing this? I have given them everything?” – this was a very good picture brought by our brother – this is a picture of rejection – living beneath what we have been made in Christ – just knowing that we are this – and don’t have to perform – is enough to set us free…

We are set free – we do not have to perform – nothing we will ever do will make God love us more – nothing we will ever do will make Him love us less – and (as believers in His Name – as the light of His truth “dawns” on us regarding what He accomplished for us on the cross) this knowledge instead of opening up all restraint and leading to unbridled rebellion and sin against God actually does the opposite – makes us bow down and worship God and consecrate ourselves to His Service – to give ourselves to Him unreservedly and with abandon (in joy – there’s been a lot of joy in our local congregation – it’s infectious – Praise You Jesus)…

We are not rejected in Christ…

God reconciled the entire world to Himself in Christ not counting their trespasses against them and has given us the ministry of reconciliation…

They – any who don’t know – need to know so that they can come to know our Glorious Acceptor…

Rejection is broken in the Name of Jesus…

Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God. (Romans 15:7 NASB)

About andrew james horton

Hi, my name is Andrew James Horton... I am from Nu Tireni (New Zealand), born (05 September 1971) in Karaitiana (Christchurch), now in my early fifties... I am blessed to be married with five children and six grandchildren... :-) I am at present a Principal Structural Engineer living in Christchurch, New Zealand... I am passionate about prophetic intercession and about revival both in New Zealand and throughout the world... I am passionate to pray that the Church, the Body of Christ, the Bride of Christ, will be all that He - the Lord Jesus Christ - desires her to be in our generation... Back in early September 2010 I felt that the Lord gave me the name of this blog site, "a house of prayer for the nations - prophetic intercession for worldwide revival" and wanted me to "put it out there" and start recording the prayers which were on my heart to pray in the hope that others would also be encouraged to share the prayers which were on their hearts to pray and that in the unity of the Spirit we could participate together in this activity in different locations around the world as He led us... If the Lord leads you, let's join together in prayer for the Lord's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven in our generation... Love to All, Andrew
