Windy day prolonged too long

tearing at the earth with claws,

and rain that serves a master strong

is flung among the glistening trees.

 

Darkened clouds sustain the doom

as flashes light the brilliant sky,

and cracking sounds attend the boom

that rolls across the shadowed plains.
