RESIDENT WRITER

Andrea Williamson is a Calgary-based visual artist and writer. She graduated from NSCAD with a BFA in media arts and fine arts. Her watercolor paintings explore the surfaces and materiality of contemporary technologies, specifically social media, and how they affect our physical and emotional relationships to each other. Her critical writing has appeared in C magazine, Color magazine, FFWD, Expanded Standard Time Line, and numerous exhibition texts. In January 2013, she initiated a critical theory reading group that meets monthly in Calgary to collectively discuss and analyze a text.
