Conferences and Workshops

Attending assessment conferences and workshops is one of the effective ways of learning about best practices in learning outcome assessment. These conferences and workshops provide the opportunity for participants to learn how peer institutions conduct their assessments, meet frontiers in institutional and academic assessment, and also learn about the most recent knowledge and technology development related to assessment activities. Faculty and staff are encouraged to take advantage of these conferences and workshop opportunities as they seek to enhance the learning experiences of the students. IAE has money to subsidize faculty attending such conferences (or assessment conferences within one’s discipline). A list of some of the major assessment meetings are provided below. For more information on the meetings, contact the conference organizers or the Office of Institutional Analysis and Effectiveness.
