Balancing Views of the Natural World

These photographs represent a lifelong appreciation of the lesser, often unperceived and frequently misunderstood aspects of nature.    The imagery focuses on any natural element generally rejected or persecuted in our society.    I deeply believe that an imbalance exists in what is viewed as “good” or  “bad” in the natural world.  In exploring the undervalued and rejected, I hope to instill an awe and wonder for these less appreciated subjects.    From snowy winters and cold night skies, insects, dead trees, decaying bodies and stagnant waters…….to ourselves…….this is a journey of seeing the beauty in the repulsive, the neglected, and the mundane.
