Langkah-langkah membuat Google Maps pada Android yaitu sebagai berikut :
Yang pertama yang harus kita lakukan untuk membuat aplikasi ini adalah melakukan Generate Google Maps API Key. Untuk mendapatkan API key kita perlu melakukan generate SHA-1 fingerprint yakni file debug.keystore yang terdapat di direktori C:\Users\Nama_User\.android. menggunakan java keytool. Cara generate kode-nya cukup mudah, kita bisa menggunakan Command Prompt dan mengektikkan kode di bawah ini.
keytool.exe -list -alias androiddebugkey –keystore “C:Users\Nama_user\.android\debug.keystore” -storepass android -keypass android
Jika berhasil langkah selanjutnya adalah
- Buka Link berikut https://code.google.com/apis/console/?noredirect#project:451713360833:overview
- Pilih services dan aktifkan “Google Maps Android API v2″
- Klik “API Acces“
- Pilih “Create New Android Key“
- Lalu masukkan kode SHA1 kita tadi pada kolom yang tersedia lalu Klik Create
- Setelah itu akan ditampilkan Key for Android apps (with certificates)
Setelah melakukan langkah-langkah diatas. Selanjutnya membuat aplikasi baru seperti biasa dengan cara sebagai berikut :
- Membuat Aplikasi Android Project Baru yaitu File – New – Android Application Project. Masukkan nama project yang akan di buat
- Konfigurasi Proyek Aplikasi Android
- Membuat Desain Aplikasi Launcher Icon untuk tampilannya
- Membuat Aktivitas Kosong
- Masukkan Main Rincian Kegiatan
- Edit File AndroidManfiest.xml
