Versed: Isaiah 43:6-7

“I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’
Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth — everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”

Isaiah 43:6-7, NIV

God has restored us to Himself through the Son who died on the cross. Now, by His Holy Spirit and the spreading of the Gospel, He calls us to Himself for eternal life. Believe in the One who has even restored the nation of Israel after 1900 years!

VerseD: Isaiah 43:1

But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.

‭Isaiah 43:1, ESV‬

God has restored us to relationship with Himself, those of us who believe in Jesus as Savior and God are called His the redeemed and Hos friends. We may not be born descendents of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, but we are made His chosen people in Christ.

This Sunday at Church: Pray for God to provide opportunities for you to disciple someone new at Church

I remember being the teenager invited to church who only went to be with friends. Then I believed in Jesus, but I still went to be with friends. Then I took my faith seriously, and I went to actively be part of Christ’s Body.

I also remember feeling like no one really mentored me. I knew there was active discipleship through the various people at church, but it did not feel like there was direct discipleship. Others my age were getting more attention, but it felt like their teaching was so basic, and I was looking for deeper things.

Looking back, I can now see how a few adults went out of their way to make time and try to help. May we also help young people and young believers know how much we try to help.

Prayer for Youth Camp

Greetings in the Lord!

Today (Sunday, May 26), our congregation is going to a local lake for baptisms! While there, our youth group is hosting a Taco Bar fundraiser to help cover camp costs.

This week, Tuesday-Friday, we are going on a camp out by a river. Our focus this week is “A Life of Worship,” looking at how teens can worship in everyday life.

Please join me in praying for a safe, empowering week of camping and seeking God (especially seeing as I wrote the curriculum!)

May the Holy Spirit move in their (our) lives in mighty ways, we have fun, and draw closer to God and each other.

Thanks in advance!

Daniel and The Youth Next Door

VerseD: Isaiah 43:2

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.

Isaiah 43:2, ESV‬

Faith in God might not protect us from physical harm, but we can have peace and assurance of His salvation and eternity, regardless of the circumstances, overcoming fear and hatred, and also possibly be saved in the circumstance.

VerseD: Psalm 42:11

Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.

‭Psalm 42:11, ESV‬

Our God is good and came and experienced our pain and struggle, so He can understand and comfort us in our pain and struggles. He then empowers and sends us to share His goodness with others.

VerseD: 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

‭2 Corinthians 1:3-4, ESV‬

Our good God came to us, suffered like us and for us, and now calls us to join in His suffering by the power of the Holy Spirit to bring His comfort and peace to others.

VerseD: 1 Samuel 2:2

“There is none holy like the Lord: for there is none besides you; there is no rock like our God.”

‭1 Samuel 2:2, ESV‬

God alone is good and holy and the source of all life and goodness. And He chose to come to us to grant us life and holiness, filling us with His love, grace, and goodness to carry it into the world.

VerseD: John 8:12

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

John 8:12, ESV‬

God came to us, the Light of Life, to fill us with Life. By His Holy Spirit we are empowered to walk in His light and lead others to life.

VerseD: 1 John 4:9

In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.

1 John 4:9, ESV‬

God came to us to give us grace and eternal life, and now He sends us out in the power of the Holy Spirit to share this love and life with others.
