NYC Song Of The Week “Planet Rock” – Afrika Bambaataa

Just hearing this song makes me want to watch Krush Groove and start break-dancing.

Boy oh boy was fashion crazy in the 80s, they look like a cross between a Psychedelic Village People and the 80s Hood Clingons from a galaxy far far away. I think my mother was in this concert.

    Choooooooooon! I can’t believe you’ve put this on. All 7 minutes and 38 seconds. This is one very happy Pie. I used to have this years ago until my mum took it out with most of my other vinyl and gave it to the local church jumble sale just four short years ago. I’ve almost stopped grieving now as I’ve taken ownership of the stupidity that led to this sorry end. Listening to this has been bittersweet, but it’s all good.
