Amherst women’s golf took second in the Mount Holyoke College Invitational over the weekend in a field of 15. The Lord Jeffs finished 12 strokes behind team champion St. Lawrence and 12 ahead of third-place Williams. Amherst junior Hayley Milbourn took home top individual honors for the second time in three years with a two-day total of 154.

Bates sophomore women’s soccer goalkeeper Annie Burns was named NESCAC Co-Player of the Week after making 28 saves while allowing only two goals as the Bobcats split games against Wellesley and Trinity. Burns stopped 11 shots against Wellesley in a 1-0 victory and had a career-high 17 saves against Trinity. Burns added nine shots in a 2-1 loss to Husson on Wednesday.

Bowdoin junior men’s soccer keeper Dan Hicks has not allowed a goal in over 286 minutes after a pair of shutouts against Middlebury and Colby over the weekend. Hicks made four saves against the Panthers and the Mules as Bowdoin improved to 5-1-0 on the season. The Polar Bears last allowed a goal in the 74th minute of a 3-1 win over Southern Maine on Sept. 16.

Colby junior field hockey forward Heather Quadir tallied five goals during a 2-1 week for the Mules. Quadir netted a hat trick and an assist in a 5-0 win over St. Joseph’s (Maine) on Wednesday and found the back of the net twice in a 4-3 loss to Williams on Saturday. Quadir now has seven goals and four assists in six games this season.

Conn. College junior men’s soccer forward Trevor Prophet was named NESCAC Player of the Week after tallying three goals and an assist during a 2-0-0 week for the Camels. Prophet had a pair of goals in a 3-2 victory at Coast Guard and had a goal and an assist on Saturday in a 4-1 win over Amherst, which entered the game ranked second nationally. Prophet also assisted on a Camel goal in the 90th minute of a 2-0 win over UMass Dartmouth Wednesday.

Hamilton junior volleyball hitter Alex Singh received All-Tournament honors at the Hamilton Invitational over the weekend. Singh averaged 2.24 kills and 2.53 digs per set over five matches last week, including four in the tournament, and tied a career high with 11 kills in a 3-0 win over Regis on Friday.

Middlebury freshman field hockey goalkeeper Madeline Brooks made six saves en route to her first career shutout as the Panthers earned a 2-0 win at Bowdoin on Saturday, their first against the Polar Bears since Oct. 3, 2004. Middlebury had dropped nine in a row against Bowdoin, including three meetings in the NESCAC Championship and two more in the NCAA tournament.

Trinity women’s soccer earned its first win of the season with a 9-0 victory over Bay Path College last Thursday. The Bantams, who had scored only one goal all season prior to the game, outshot the visiting Wildcats 42-0. The Bantams improved to 2-1-2 with a 2-0 victory at Bates on Saturday.

Tufts senior Jesse Faller was named NESCAC Men’s Cross Country Performer of the Week after placing first at Saturday’s Connecticut College Invitational. Faller completed the 8-kilometer course in 25:17, three seconds ahead of the second-place finisher, as Tufts finished first at the 16-team meet with 46 points.

Williams men’s soccer remained undefeated on the season (6-0-1) with wins at Colby and Babson over the weekend. Senior defender Conor Smith paced the Ephs with a pair of goals in Saturday’s 6-0 victory over the Mules. The Ephs have outscored their NESCAC opponents 11-1 in three games this year as they are tied for first with a 2-0-1 conference mark.
