“Maang” (1950) was directed by Saghir Usmani for New Light Film production, Bombay. The movie had Zia, Wasti, Mubarak, Ramola, Amar, Pratima, Malhotra, Leela Pande, Basu, Hemlata etc in it. This by now forgotten movie had ten songs in it. Four songs from the movie have been covered in the blog in the past.
Here is the fifth song from “Maang”(1950) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Shamshad Begam. Hussaini is the lyricist. Music is composed by Ghulam Mohammad.
Only the audio of this song is available.
Though the song speaks of losing one’s heard to one’s beloved, it describes that experience with great relish and joy. 🙂
