“Mehndi”(1947) was directed by Sibtain Fazli for Fazli Films, Bombay. The movie had Nargis, Begam Para, Murad, Ghori, Jillobai, Jaani babu, Protima Devi, Chacha Premi, Anwari, Zaki, Baby Shyama etc in it.
There were eight songs in this obscure movie. Here is the second song from “Mehndi”(1947) to appear in the blog. This “missing the beloved” song is as obscure as the movie itself. It is sung by Shanshad Begam. Sagar Nizami is the lyricist of this melancholic song. Music is composed by Ghulam Haider.
Only the audio of this song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.
