Most Rakhi songs in this blog are from the golden era of HFM, viz from 1950s to 1970s, though Rakhi songs from 1930s, 40s and 80s have also been discussed in the past.
Here is a Rakhi song from the 1990s. This picturisation is intesteting. It shows a Mithun da covered from head to toes in Rakhis arrive at his residence where his three sisters are waiting for him. The sisters cannot even identify him, before the small kid accompanying Mithun da explains that Mithun Da had saved several girls from the clutches of baddies and the grateful girls had tied him with rakhis all over his body, including face. 🙂
The three sisters then decide to hastily tie their rakhis on him before he may decide to run away to save some some more damsels in distress and end up with more rathis on his person.
This song has a happy version as well as the mandatory slow sad version as well.
The song is sung by Kavita Krishnamurty, Alka Yagnik and Md Aziz. The happy version of the song is picturised on Mithun Chakraborthy, Roopa Ganguly, Kishori Shahane and Shraddha Verma. The sad version of the song is picturised as a background song in the movie.
