on:“Pyaar Mohabbat” (1966) was produced and directed by Shankar Mukherji under the banner of Alankar Chitra. The movie had Dev Anand, Saira Banu, Premnath, Shashikala, Durga Khote, David Abraham, Asit Sen, Sulochana Latkar, Harindranath Chattopadhyay, Tarun Bose, Murad, Jankidas, S. Nazir etc in it.
As many as seven songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the eighth song from the movie.
This song is sung by Rafi. Only the audio of this song is available. I am not sure whetther this song was included in the movie. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this matter.
Shailendra is the lyricist. With this song, Shailendra completes 500 songs in the blog. He is the fourth lyricist and the tenth artist overall to reach this mark in the blog.
This song is also the 300th song lyrics contributed by Atif M. It was he who had pioneered the concept of sending lyrics in january 2011 to the blog. Soon several more lyrics contributors joined and now we are at a stage where the blog now has more than 1800 songs contributed by the lyrics contributers.
Congratulations to Atif M. Here is hoping that he will continue to send many more great lyrics to us and continue to enrich the blog with his contributions.

Song-Mil gayi mil gayi mil gayi re (Pyaar Mohabbat)(1966) Singer-Rafi, Lyrics-Shailendra, MD-Shankar Jaikishan
Lyrics(Provided by Atif M)
husn ko chaand jawaani ko kanwal kehte hain
koyi soorat nazar aaye to ghazal kehte hain
hodri daadri yaadri yaadri yaadri yaadri yana
haaye
mil gayi
mil gayi
mil gayi re
mujh ko muhabbat mil gayi
mil gayi
mil gayi
mil gayi re
mujh ko muhabbat mil gayi
aakhir dukhte dil ko mere ae ae
dard se fursat mil gayi
hoye mil gayi
mil gayi
ho mil gayi re
mujh ko muhabbat mil gayi
gulshan ke an-gin phoolon mein
phool sa yeh albela chehra
duniya bhar ke haseen chehron mein
sab se alag akela chehra
sab se alag akela chehra
aaj woh mere saamne hain
jin se tabeeyat mil gayi
aakhir dukhte dil ko mere ae
dard se fursat mil gayi
mil gayi
mil gayi
mil gayi re
mujh ko muhabbat mil gayi
alhadpan almasti unki
us par unka yeh bholaapan
rukhsat se pehle milte hon
jaise jawaani aur ladakpan
jaise jawaani aur ladakpan
hum hi hum hain jab se hamein
pyaar ki daulat mil gayi
aakhir dukhte dil ko mere ae
dard se fursat mil gayi
hoye mil gayi
hoye mil gayi
haaye mil gayi re
mujh ko muhabbat mil gayi
usne kaha
dil hai to laao
hum ne kaha
jaan bhi haazir hai
usne kaha
sach-much marte ho
hum ne kaha
bilkul zaahir hai
hum ne kaha
bilkul zaahir hai
husn se takraane ki saza
hum ko naseehat mil gayi
aakhir dukhte dil ko mere ae
dard se fursat mil gayi
mil gayi
mil gayi
mil gayi re
mujh ko muhabbat mil gayi
ho mil gayi
haye mil gayi
aha mil gayi re
mujh ko muhabbat mil gayi

A big thank you to all of you who have commented with such nice, encouraging words. I am grateful that you guys found my humble contributions useful.
Let me also take this opportunity to say sorry for not taking part in song discussions and comments lately. I have been a bit busy with work and life in general. I do visit the blog regularly though and immensely enjoy the daily potpourri mix of colourful, fragrant songs.
I am so glad a close-knit team of regular contributors/commenters has been forged through this blog. They are like a family of like-minded individuals, joined together by a common passion for Hindi film music from the glorious era. Off-the-blog private email messaging network between the ‘regulars’ is a testimony to this fact.
Finally, the untiring effort that Atul puts into this endeavour must not be overlooked. Kudos to him.
