Nainon se naina milaa ke – Song no. 14
——————————————
The summer vacation have started for school going children. With upcoming long weekends and only three working days in between, this might have been a good opportunity to go on a vacation somewhere cool calm and quite. For those who are able to plan well in advance and have been good all year round to be able to take time off work, anyway. And for some of us who are not able to plan in advance, it is the same heat and dust of Mumbai. Of course there are a few hill stations close by where one may just decide to pay a visit, on a spur of the moment. But at this time of the year those places like Lonavla , Mahableshwar and Matheran etc are teeming with holiday makers. There is no calm and quite to be had at these popular spots. Lately these spots have turned into the places where no season is off season, the proximity to Mumbai is the reason.
I am waiting to complete this series, so that we can go some interesting places, via film songs. What went before and is remaining to be posted are mostly songs without videos. So there was no opportunity of visiting even the artificial gardens in the studios, during the last few songs.
The lyrics of this particular song from Shiv Bhakt (1955) are contributed by Mr. Nitin Shah ji, and luckily video is also available. Padmini is singing this song on screen, sung by Lata Mangeshkar. Chitragupt is the composer and it is written by G. S. Nepali. Three songs already posted, one of them is this famous bhajan.

Lyrics(Provided by Nitin Shah)
aa aaa aa
o o o
o o o
kahaan jaa ke yeh naina lade
ho kahaan jaa ke yeh naina lade
ke ham to reh gaye khade ke khade
kahaan jaa ke yeh naina lade
ke ham to reh gaye khade ke khade
mukh se to boley na
ankhiyon se baat ki
mukh se to boley na
ankhiyon se baat ki
palkon se bula bula
chitvan se ghaat ki
ho o o o
palkon se bula bula
chitvan se ghaat ki
jiya le ke woh aage badhe
haaye jiya le ke wo aage badhe
ke ham to reh gaye khade ke khade ae
kahaan jaa ke yeh naina lade
ke ham to reh gaye khade ke khade
dekha na laut ke
poochha na haal bhi
dekha na laut ke
poochha na haal bhi
aaye na saamne kar gaye behaal ji
o o o
aaye na saamne kar gaye behaal ji
piya nikle bedardi bade
haaye piya nikle bedardi bade
ke ham to reh gaye khade ke khade ae
kahaan jaa ke yeh naina lade
ke ham to reh gaye khade ke khade
ham unke pass hain
ham se hain door
ham unke pass hain
ham se hain door wo
dil ham lutaate
karte guroor wo
ho o o
dil ham lutaate
karte guroor wo
kaise zaalim ke paale pade
ho kaise zaalim ke paale pade
ke ham to reh gaye khade ke khade ae
kahaan jaa ke yeh naina lade
ke ham to reh gaye khade ke khade

Nahmji,
Try Toranmal, Maharashtra, a quiet hill station; not-many-know-about-it cool place.

Now for the song… This tune is overshadowed by CRamchandra;s tunes in Pehli Jhalak …Chitragupta seemed very much like the shadow of C Ramchandra in several songs… not to undermine him. But melody was their strong points
