Kabhi aaj kabhi kal kabhi parson

on:We have read a lot about how Suman Kalyanpur had a voice very similar to Lata and that affected her career big time.
I wondered if Lata and Suman Kalyanpur had ever sung together in a song. The answer is yes.
Here is a song from “Chaand” (1959). This forgotten movie has the distinction of seeing the first ever song where these two sang together. This song was written by Shailendra and its music was composed by Hemant Kumar.
The print is very poor and it is difficult to tell who are the two dancers, but I have deciphered that the two dancers are Helen and Shiela Vaz. I request our knowledgeable readers to confirm/refute my identifications.
Ps-The dancers are Helen and Rajshree (south).
So far I have heard this song properly just one time, and I simply loved this song. What a song !
Please listen to this song and tell me whether you feel the same way about this song.
It should have been a timeless classic instead of being a forgotten song.

Lyrics
kabhi aaj kabhi kal kabhi parson aise hi beete barson
hamaari sunte hi nahin saajnaa dekhoji sunte hi nahin saajnaa
kabhi aaj kabhi kal kabhi parson aise hi beete barson
tumhaari sunte hi nahin saajnaa dekhoji sunte hi nahin saajnaa
kabhi aaj kabhi kal kabhi parson aise hi beete barson
hamaari sunte hi nahin saajnaa dekhoji sunte hi nahin saajnaa
daal pe phool aur phoolon pe bhanwre din bhar sau sau khel karen
daal pe phool aur phoolon pe bhanwre din bhar sau sau khel karen
tadpen tarsen ham hin akele chhup chhup thandi aah bharen
beeti jaay dekho haay ye jawaani, ye dilon ki kahaani
hamaari sunte hi nahin saajnaa dekhoji sunte hi nahin saajnaa
kabhi aaj kabhi kal kabhi parson aise hi beete barson
hamaari sunte hi nahin saajnaa dekhoji sunte hi nahin saajnaa
jabse gaye pardes piyaa meri neend bhi unke saath gayi
jabse gaye pardes piyaa meri neend bhi unke saath gayi
jaise taise guzar gayaa din par mushqil se raat gayi
sau sau baar hamne pyaar se pukaaraa, ye dil hai tumhaaraa
hamaari sunte hi nahin saajnaa dekhoji sunte hi nahin saajnaa
kabhi aaj kabhi kal kabhi parson aise hi beete barson
hamaari sunte hi nahin saajnaa dekhoji sunte hi nahin saajnaa
tumne piyaa jee meraa dil to liyaa ji par pyaar ke waade bhool chale
tumne piyaa jee meraa dil to liyaa ji par pyaar ke waade bhool chale
kab se pyaasi hamaari aankhen ab to mil jaa chaand tale
kaise haay sahi jaay ye judaayi, phirun main sharmaayi
hamaari sunte hi nahin saajnaa dekhoji sunte hi nahin saajnaa
kabhi aaj kabhi kal kabhi parson aise hi beete barson
hamaari sunte hi nahin saajnaa dekhoji sunte hi nahin saajnaa

Eventhough I have heard this song many times, only recently I came to know that the song is sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Suman Kalyanpur. Indeed a great song. Fantastic music. The dancers in this song are Helen and Rajasree (South Actress) and not Sheila Vaz.

Really a rare of the rarest gem of HFM where the two Swar Kokilas of India sing together for the first and the last time. A very rare occasion Tributes to Hemant Da for composing this great and precious melody. Words of Shailendra are simple and easy but quiet fluent.
Some better quality video but low audio of this song now available on YT :
