Human beings are messy. Their needs and desires are multitudinous, oftentimes reflecting little regard for those that their (in)actions affect. Even the most steadfast and reliable have the potential to behave erratically, to change their minds – what they crave for dinner, who they long to sleep with – with the seeming ease of the flipping of a switch. But machines – ah, machines. They know what we want, how we want it, and they – almost – never disappoint.
