*Bleeding Road*

There is no way around.
Just straight ahead.
One breath at time.
No chance to avoid the stones
on this path of gloom called life.
Crags on both sides,
cliffs offering scars.
Trackways of bitterness
leading only down.
Heavy boulders of pain
switching tiny grains of happiness.
Now and then.
No way around this insane game.
Players on their spots,
behaving properly,
betraying one another.
Gazes of frost upon faces,
poking through hearts.
Incomparable mountains of mourn
on the palm of life’s tree.
No way around.
Just straight ahead.
Straight through the bleeding road
into the bosom of despair.

  1. Life… more of pain than joy… Well described Eclipse.

  2. Yes, life is hard and sometimes all we can do is keep on keeping on until one day we do discover it gets easier and that is the day we stop trying to fight it and we go within its flow.
Lovely, deep, thought provoking prose again.

  3. Will be back to reply to these lines ..

  4. ‘Just straight ahead.
    One breath at time’

loved this line. Dark stuff but I sense that like all poets you got even more from writing it than I did reading it. Loved it

  5. A beautiful captivating piece, kind of mournful, ytet there is hope that the road could take a turn. Nicely shared.

  6. such a beautiful write, capturing the sheer pain that in the journey we administer and observe.
