The Evolution of Mobile Apps and Mobile Games

Today, mobiles can be used for all sorts of things apart from making calls and sending texts messages. For example, we can play on our iPhone, read books, browse the web, as well as gamble. Incidentally, just a few years ago, mobile gambling was relatively inconvenient. Today, however, mobile gambling is amazingly convenient, and thousands of mobile casinos are available for players on the web and on app stores. But how did mobile gambling transform into the most convenient gambling method?

Evolution of Mobile Games

Many years ago, people used their mobiles to send messages and make calls. Back then, games could be played on computers and consoles. In 1997, finally, the first mobile game appeared on a mobile device – this was the well-known Nokia game called Snake.

Years later, it was still impossible to gamble on your mobile. It was only in 2005 that game developers started working on the first mobile gambling games. These games utilised virtual money and had to be purchased to play. Fun fact: back in 2005, payments for games and games were sent via MMS or SMS.

The Turning Point

What marked a turning point in the history of mobile games was the launching of the first iPhone back in 2007. The device featured a desktop-like interface and was praised for its computing powers. A year later, Apple released their App Store, introducing the first real money iphone mobile casinos in the world.

One faithful day in the summer of 2008, Apple launched their iOS App Store. The App Store featured roughly 500 apps, among which about 35 video games. By the way, just five hours after the launch of the Apple App Store, Texas Hold’em app topped the list of most downloaded paid apps.

It did not take much time for the iPhone to become a compact computer, and new games were added to the App Store on a daily basis. Soon, consumers could choose from thousands of games and developers had to create games with better quality. Incidentally, the first iPhone casino apps were games with very poor graphics. Later, when the iPad was released, more complicated games were introduced in the App Store and players could download Bingo and Multi-hand Blackjack on their iPhone.

iPhone Gaming Now

Well-developed casino apps and online betting sites with high-end design are available today. Players can now choose from a wide variety of games, without having to comply with poor quality graphics, too. Remote gambling has become better than the real thing, indeed, largely thanks to Apple’s ingenuity.

Apple’s new iPad Pro, released just a few months ago, offers players the best mobile gambling experience. Utilising an Android 7.0 Nougat OS, the iPad Pro features a ‘VR Mode’ for a fulfilling Virtual Reality experience. What is more, the device features Vulkan™ API platform, delivering mesmerizing quality of 3D graphics.

What the cutting-edge techologies implemented in the iPad Pro offer is an unparalleled online gambling experience. You can now indulge in 3D casino games, play at VR casinos as well as Live Dealer casinos.

Why iPhone Gaming

What makes iPhone the perfect mobile device for mobile gambling is its OS. Apple is the developer of one of the smoothest mobile OS ever developed, and the system updates automatically on every iPhone product, which guarantees effortless gaming. Moreover, thanks to the automatic OS update feature, players can acess all sports betting and casino apps on iPhone, regardless of the version of their iPhone.

Of course, online betting sites are available to iPhone users. Nevertheless, a large number of iPhone gamblers prefer iPhone casino apps over online casino sites, as the former are accessible regardless of time and location.

The Future of iPhone Gaming

Mobile gaming is in no way inferior to computer and console gaming, and tendencies show it will keep on advancing. Mobile game developers constantly implement new technologies in their games, creating a truly immersive gaming experience.

According to Apple’s representatives, the idea that we have a pocket computer with us at all times has completely changed the way we interact with games. Today, players can spend as little as ten seconds to spin an Electronic Roulette, or spend months playing another mobile game.

What we can expect from iPhone games from now on is a more personalised gaming experience. Apple representatives say that iPhone X’s facial recognition technology may be implemented in games in the near future. Before long, we might play games whose characters can recognise whether we are thrilled, sad, angry, anxious, etc. by ‘reading’ our emotions via the face recognition feature. Soon, we might be able to shape game characters in a way that feels natural to us, and those characters will also know our preferences. As for gambling apps, Apple says it will continue to utilise VR and 3D animation technologies in order to create a more realistic gaming experience.
