‘American Idol:’ Adam Lambert wishes Happy 4th of July to fans 

Singer and former American Idol finalist Adam Lambert is well into his very successful summer tour — Glam Nation. Last night the performer sang for an audience at the House of Blue in Myrtle Beach. Today, everyone is celebrating America’s day of Independence, and Lambert took to Twitter to wish everyone a happy holiday. 

Lambert wrote to his fans: 

“Happy 4th everyone!” 

Lambert has been enjoying serious success with his current single, “If I Had You,” which rose straight to the number one position on the VH1 top 20 countdown, thanks to his loyal fans. 

Over the past week, the performer announced that his tour is going international in September, and a new album will be recorded in 2011. There is a lot to look forward to for fans of the singer. When Lambert previously toured various parts of the world to promote For Your Entertainment, it resulted in numerous fans for the singer worldwide. There is no doubt that the fans abroad are excited to know that Glam Nation is coming to a city near them.

Adam Lambert Shows His Substance & Glam at House of Blues in Myrtle Beach 

As much as he’s truly a rock star, when he stripped down songs like his current hit single, “Whataya Want From Me”, as well as “Sleepwalker”, “Soaked” and “Aftermath”, it showed the true grit of his talent – he was able to storytell in song the progress of relationships as well as the power of his voice which has so many levels and ranges.  It’s hard to believe how wickedly good Lambert’s voice is or really give justice to its quality and depth. 

Lambert also did two covers, Johnny Cash’s “Ring Of Fire” which had a very trippy Alice In Wonderland meets psychedelic, sexy, deliciously naughty feeling,  and for the encore performance, a pretty sweet semi-acoustic version of the Led Zeppelin classic that really got Lambert on the map during the Idol season, “Whole Lotta Love.” 

I’m not sure if you can really be a passive Lambert fan (I know I never was), but if you attended this concert unsure that he was a true star and would give you your money’s worth, you walked away knowing that he was well worth your money and then some.  Everyone who attended this show is going to be talking about it this Fourth of July weekend and beyond and spreading the love.  Do not pass up seeing Lambert if you have the opportunity to go, especially in an intimate setting like the House of Blues, for any reason – you’ll leave feeling entertained, energized and re-inspired on your own path to keep going and to always be who you are.

‘American Idol’: Adam Lambert reaches new spin plateau on airplay chart 

The “American Idol” singer’s new single increased its radio presence by 264 spins in the past week — an increase of just under 25%. It is the largest increase in terms of total numbers “If I Had You” has seen, and it bodes well for the song’s momentum and staying power moving forward. 

As a matter of fact, Adam (who is currently sitting at #37) has a good shot at moving close to the top 30 next week. He needs to pass Diddy’s “Hello Good Morning”, while some other songs (such as Maroon 5’s “Misery”) will probably skyrocket near the top 25.
