Philia

Y’know, my generation is the first generation that… We really saved everything from our childhood and never got rid of it. We thought the Star Wars action figures of our childhood, we thought that was it, but now they just keep going and going and going, and people love it… You know what? Just because you’re a certain age, you don’t have to stop loving the things you loved as a child. That love can evolve.
Eli Roth (Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope)

Pray to the geek gods, because Comic-Con is just around the corner.

  1. There is nothing wrong with loving the things you loved as a child. My son (almost 25 ) saved all the GI-Joe figurines and attributes.
Love the two pictures here, I love the designs.
(I am still a Donald Duck, Walt Disney fan)

  2. Love the fact that these are 35mm. Yes, there is an evolution in what we love. Somehow we make it all fit into our “grown-up world”…and then we can keep our childhood just a bit longer, but with an adult stance and appreciation. That’s pretty neat.

  3. “When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.”…to quote Corinthians 13.

What a miserable bunch they were in those days…
