The City of Blue Island, in partnership with Cook County and the State of Illinois, is building green infrastructure and repairing and resurfacing Longwood Drive between Vincennes Road and 119th Street.
Projects are funded by the Cook County Community Development Block Grant, the Illinois Green Infrastructure Grant and led by the City of Blue Island.
These projects will resurface Longwood Drive, repair curbs and sidewalks, and build rain gardens to help minimize flooding.
