This track also appears in Diao ye zong’s C91 album, Tsutae (伝), under the title 狂言「跳ね玉兎」 [Kyougen: MoonJumper]. The lyrics are exactly the same, and unfortunately, the missing lines are still missing. At (1:50), an extra part is added: “Mayday, mayday, emergency!”

This track starts with a fairy tale:

What did the moon rabbits see and jump to?
They landed on the ground, though it was impure.
Someday, surely,
Everything will become a fairy tale.

The asagi-coloured rabbit jumped.

新し 住みかを探して探して

atarashi sumika wo sagashite sagashite

Chú tìm một nơi cư ngụ mới

She searched for a new dwelling.

さても そこは げに恐ろしき国

satemo soko wa genimo osoroshiki kuni

Giờ đây, nơi mà chú ấy đặt chân đến thật yên tĩnh đến đáng sợ.

Well now, the place she ended up in was quite terrifying.

けれど されど 退くことなどできぬ

keredo saredo hiku koto nado dekinu

Still, even so, she could not draw back.

二度と戻れぬ道と 知ってか知らずかその足が

Mayday, mayday, emergency!

月 月のウサギが
やいの やいのと唄うのは
きっと それは夢の中
覚めぬ夢を見る 槐安に

tsuki tsuki no usagi ga
yai no yai no to utau no wa
kitto sore wa yume no naka
samenu yume wo miru kaian ni

橘色の ウサギが跳ねて
本当を まことを探して 探して

tachibana iro no usagi ga hanete
hontou wo ma koto o sagashite sagashite

Chú thỏ màu trái cam nhảy tung tăng.  
Chú tìm kiếm sự thật, chân lý 

The tachibana-coloured rabbit jumped. (3)
She searched for the truth, for reality.

そこに見えたげにも疑わしごと

soko ni mieta geni mo utagawashi goto

Trước mắt chú toàn những thứ đáng ngờ. 

But what she saw… was quite suspicious.

そして手にしたげにも恐ろしきこと

soshite te ni shita geni mo osoroshiki koto

Và những thứ chú nắm trong tay cũng vô cùng kinh sợ. 

And she took something quite terrifying in her hands.

二度と戻らぬ道と
知っていながらその足は
軽く 軽く土を蹴る
ならばその身が汚れてさえも
月に向かって跳ねるよMoonJumper!

ima mo dokozo de yume wo miru

Chú thỏ mặt Trăng kia, 
Đến giờ, ắt hẳn vẫn đang mộng mơ đâu đó,
Nếu như cơn mộng đêm ngày không hồi kết, 
Thì hãy cứ để nó kéo dài mãi đi. 

The moon rabbits, even now
Are dreaming in some place or other.
If, say, they are in an endless dream,
They will dream forever if they do not wake up.

全て 世は 世は事も無し
月もあちらも変わらずに
何も さりど さりとて
さぁ 何見て 跳ねるMoonJumper?

nabete yo wa yo wa koto mo nashi
tsuki mo achira mo kawarazu ni
nani mo sarido saritote
saa nan mite haneru MoonJumper?

Cõi giới vô thường cũng chỉ là hư vô. 
Mặt Trăng hay dưới kia cũng chẳng hề đổi thay. 
Cho dù là vậy, cho dù là vậy. 
Cớ sao bọn thỏ vẫn tung tăng thế hả – moon jumper? 

Usually, there is nothing amiss in the world.
The moon, over yonder, also exists without changing.
Even so, having said that,
What did the rabbits see and jump to – moon jumper?

(1) Asagi (浅葱色) is a traditional Japanese colour. Its blueish-green hue can be seen as a symbol of Seiran.

(2) かいあん (槐安 – ‘kaian’) refers to a traditional tale – a lot like Alice in Wonderland – in which a man falls asleep at the base of a tree, and is whisked off to a distant kingdom. The phrase is commonly used to refer to transient things, or dreams, as a metaphor.

(3) Tachibana (橘) is a type of mandarin/orange. It’s orange hue can be seen as a symbol of Ringo (or, possibly, Reisen).
