     După cum bine știți, în ultima vreme am publicat câteva eBook-uri, unul dedicat Haiku-rilor și alte două dedicate blogging-ului:

• Cum să-ți dublezi traficul pe blog simplu și elegant

• Cum să faci un blog bilingv care să arate bine

Ceea ce vreau să spun este că nu-i chiar așa ușor să publici un eBook atunci când nu știi cu ce se mănâncă :))

În afara faptului că trebuie un anumit fel de formatare a eBook-ului, te lupți și cu prețul pe care să-l pui, dar și cu librăria online pe care să o alegi.

Bineînțeles că toată lumea se gândește să publice pe Amazon, că așa e trendy, nu? Doar că pentru a ajunge să te publici pe Amazon faci tot felul de acte de parcă ai cumpăra un castel pe Valea Loirei. Iar la formatarea cărții!!!… te ia cu amețeli 🙂 Ce să mai zic de preț!? Când vezi cu ce prețuri mici se vinde acolo îți vine să te lași de publicat.

Când am vrut să public Colecția de Haiku-ri – Love, Guns & Roses – am dat de greu. Eu o făcusem în format PDF Landscape și acesta nu se potrivea cu ce vrea Amazon. Sau poate că nu am descoperit eu cum se face. Am găsit apoi lulu.com, care a acceptat-o așa cum este și acum e pe rafturile lor virtuale.

Problema, atât la lulu.com cât și la Amazon sau alte librării digitale, este prețul cu care vinzi eBook-ul. Din cauza faptului că acestea opresc un comision destul de mare, undeva între 30 și 60%, ești nevoit să pui și tu un preț destul de piperat. Pentru că altfel muncești degeaba. Amintim aici și de comisionul pe care ți-l ia Paypal pentru transferul banilor în contul tău, apoi cât îți ia statul impozit etc. Chiar că muncești degeaba. Dar speri să dai lovitura și cartea ta să devină un best-seller. SPERI 🙂

Și acum vă prezint o modalitate de a scăpa cât de cât de aceste comisioane. Este vorba de o librărie digitală pe care am găsit-o din întâmplare: Payhip.com.

La Payhip, comisionul este de doar 5%!!! Și acceptă toate felurile de formatare a eBook-urilor (mobi, epub etc.), inclusiv PDF. De asemenea, aici puteți vinde nu doar eBook-uri, ci tot ce înseamnă digital: video, foto, muzică, fonturi, software etc. Singura diferență este că trebuie să-ți promovezi singur produsele.

Unii vor spune că e o diferență uriașă. Că pe Amazon te găsește lumea mai repede că este un brand. Oare așa să fie? Pui și tu o carte într-un raft cu milioane. Oare se vede? Acum, fiecare e liber să aleagă, nu-i așa? În fapt, te poți folosi de ambele pentru vânzări. Eu am prezentat Payhip pentru că este un mod foarte ușor de a te publica singur. Și are și avantajul acelui comision de doar 5%.

Plus că are o interfață extrem de prietenoasă și produsele tale ajung la vânzare imediat. Totul este să le promovezi la greu, așa cum am mai zis.

How to easily publish and sell an eBook

      As you well know, lately I have published several eBooks, one dedicated to haiku poetry and two dedicated to blogging:

• How to easily set up a Bilingual Blog

What I mean is that is not so easy to publish an eBook when you do not know how it all works :))

Besides the fact that it needs a specific method to format the eBook, you also fight with what price to choose for your eBook, and also which online bookstore to choose.

Of course, everyone thinks to publish on Amazon, because it’s trendy, right? But, to get you published on Amazon you have to do all sorts of documents like buying a castle in the Loire Valley. And to formatting the book!!!… Wow! You feel dizzy 🙂 What can I say when it comes to the price!? When you see the low prices they practice, you’re thinking about quitting publishing.

When I wanted to publish my Collection of Haiku – Love, Guns & Roses – I came across many obstacles. I had done it in PDF Landscape format and it did not fit with what Amazon wants. Or maybe I have not discovered how to do it. Then I found lulu.com, which accepted it as it was and now it’s on their virtual shelves.

The problem, at lulu.com and Amazon and other digital bookstores, is the price at which you sell your eBook. Because they have a fairly large fee, somewhere between 30 and 60%, you need to choose a pretty steep price. Because, otherwise, you work for nothing. We must also specify here the commission from Paypal to transfer the money into your account, then the taxes etc. You realize that you really work for nothing. But you live with the hope that your eBook will become a bestseller. You hope 🙂

And now I present you a way to get rid of some of these fees. It is a digital library that I found it by chance: Payhip.com.

At Payhip, the commission is only 5%!!! And it supports all kinds of formatting for eBooks (mobi, epub, etc.), including PDF. Also, here you can sell not only eBooks but all that means digital: video, photo, music, fonts, software etc. The only difference is that you must promote your own products.

Some will say it’s a huge difference. That, on Amazon, readers will find you quickly because is a world brand. Really? You put a book on a shelf with millions of books. Do you think someone will notice? Now, each of us is free to choose, isn’t it? In fact, you can use both methods for sales.

I presented Payhip because it is a very easy way to self-publish. And it has the advantage of only 5% commission. And it works for me, at least.

Plus, it has a very friendly interface and your products will be on sale immediately. Everything is to promote heavily, as I said.
