Thanksgiving greetings from the Crouch family! As we step into another holiday season, it’s no secret that there is plenty going on in the world that could easily make us anxious and concerned. Terrorism across the globe, unrest in our own communities, an uncertain economy — the list could go on forever.
But whatever the source of potential anxiety in our lives, it is all overshadowed by the grace and mercy we have as God’s children. And it is God’s grace that overloads us with many incredible blessings that we should be abundantly thankful for. Here are just a few of the most obvious:
– Through faith in Christ we have a heavenly Father who promises to take care of us.
– God has a perfect plan for each of our lives, a plan to prosper us and to give us a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
– Even in the most challenging times in our lives, God is still on the throne, still in control of our circumstances, and still committed to our good. That means we never have to worry or be afraid. All we have to do is trust Him.
Of course, individually we all have many things for which we can thank God: family, health, provision, and an unending number of situations and circumstances for which we have prayed — and He has provided answers.
For the Crouch family, we never cease to thank God for the miracle of TBN — that untold millions of individuals and families on every inhabited continent have access to the message of God’s grace through TBN 24 hours a day. We’re also deeply grateful for the many partners who support the work of TBN and make it possible for us to take the Gospel message to the world.
How about you? As you celebrate Thanksgiving this year, why not take a few minutes to “count your blessings” — all the great things that God has poured into your life. Whatever the circumstances you find yourself in, the Word of God is clear that you have plenty to be thankful for.
Most importantly, God has promised that He will never leave or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5), and He is absolutely committed to His best for you. Give Him your thanks and gratitude today!
