Because that would require creativity. Seriously this guy is an idiot and not even a creative one. If he wanted them dead he should’ve snapped them out of existence, if he wanted to torture them he should’ve done something other than a maze that could theoretically be beaten. Like a maze on a spherical world so there’s no path out. Instead of offering them freedom for winning he should’ve sent hell-hounds on them or something.
Basically there are a million things he should be doing no matter what his objective is, but he’s been well-established to be mediocre.
I love how he has them in his power, and they’re all just playing kind games with him.
Playing kind games with a supervillain, what a Good Girl thing to do.
Why not just turn invisible and watch them as they go?

Also I just realized that my comment could likely come off as a bit aggressive and I did not mean that.
This begs the question: Who persuaded him to become The Censor in the first place?
Because it’s becoming pretty obvious he lacks the capacity to have originated the idea.
Well, the Snobgoblin influenced him, but beyond that who knows
Worst Harley Quinn ever.
He knows what he hates, he’s just bad at coming up with ideas for how to deal with it (beyond whatever it says in the prison warden’s manual).
Yeah, even his control room looks like it’s straight out of original Star Trek, right down to the red sliding doors.
And that’s why dungeons have sneaksy goblin sentries a plenty: to keep the DM informed when he or she is not looking.
I like his optimistic outlook.
Personally, (Based on the entire strip), I believe Naridium strips creativity from its users.
It would explain why they are all so bad at evildoing…..
Call that traps? Bah! Old Grimtooth would have words for this “supervillain”, indeed!
