Mixed Animals

Os animais de brincar, tal como quase todo o mundo que apresentamos às crianças, estão estereotipados, para não lhes perdermos o rumo.
Todos sabemos como é e como se comporta o elefante, a rena, a tartaruga ou até o dinossauro e o dragão. Não há dúvidas.
Conhecemos-lhes a imagem e temos um nome pronto para lhes dar.
Mas, e se um dia o elefante Babar (cinzento, com tromba e nome masculino) passasse a ter uma armação de rena e uma carapaça de tartaruga? O que o impede, uma vez que é de brincar e isso abre ainda mais possibilidades à brincadeira?
Que tipo de afectos tem uma criança para com um boneco de peluche que se comporta como um Lego e permite inúmeras variações?
É isso que saberemos com o boneco Mixed Animals, que, como o nome indica, pode ser vários animais ou até outros seres que não são bem animais.
A proposta é da dupla BCXSY – Boaz Cohen (Israel, 1978) e Sayaka Yamamoto (Japão, 1984) – que a submeteu com sucesso à plataforma de fund raising Kickstarter, e que hoje é editada e comercializada pela Huzi.
Para os meninos e para as meninas com um olho na curiosidade dos adultos.

The animal toys, as almost everything that we introduce to the children, are stereotyped, so that the adults can be sure of what they are.
We all know how the elephant, the reindeer, the turtle or even the dinosaur and dragon look like and how they behave. There’s no doubt about that.
We know their look and already have a name ready to give them.
But what if one day the Babar elephant (gray, with a trunk and a male name) decided to have a reindeer antler and a turtle shell? What prevents him, since he is a toy and it also opens up more possibilities to play?
What kind of affection has a child with a stuffed animal that behaves like a Lego and allows many variations?
This is what we will discover with Mixed Animals toy, which, as the name implies, can be various animals or even other things that are not exactly animals.
The project is from the duo BCXSY – Boaz Cohen (Israel, 1978) and Sayaka Yamamoto (Japan, 1984) – that submitted it successfully to the fund raising platform Kickstarter, and today is edited and marketed by Huzi.
For boys and girls with an eye on the adults curiosity .
