‘Thank you for everything, Edith': Celebs, fans mourn; RIP Jean Stapleton

Actress Jean Stapleton, a household name in part due to her iconic role as Edith Bunker on “All in the Family,” died on Friday. She was 90 years old.

Ms. Stapleton died at home, surrounded by her friends and family.

Andrea Mitchell’s mom is not alone. Twitter users mourned when the news was announced yesterday.
