Chic Nonchalance in Spring- Summer 2015 !

“Is nonchalance, the new elegance ?” What is certain is that many fashion designers (Chloé, Paul Smith, Isabel Marant, New Zealand’s Kate Sylvester) make reference to it in their 2015′ collections.

How best to define nonchalance ? Don’t worry, I’ve checked it for you 😉

This could mean “a lack of enthusiasm or a lack of vivacity,” that I personally do not find particularly elegant ! … But nonchalance can also be defined as “a natural slowness in attitude.” That’s better, isn’t it ?

Let’s be pragmatic, how are we going to put nonchalance into our outfits for “spring-summer 2015 ?”

Here are some tips …

With flared pants, culotte-skirt, or dress-shirt … a structured jacket will perfectly complete the outfit !

Fabrics also play an essential role in adding fluidity and movement to our silhouette and thus, nonchalance … especially, if we adopt the seventies trend of the moment (see my previous post here : Spring-Summer 2015 : Flashback to the Seventies ! )

With one specific print or with a mix of different prints, we could also create some chic nonchalance … as shown by Paul Smith, Dries Van Noten and Isabel Marant designers.

Of course, do not hesitate to choose denim, cool-chic guaranteed and most of all, the big trend of this spring, which  is denim in all its forms (dress, skirt, shirt, jumpsuit, …)

Finally, if you prefer basic outfits, the desired effect could be obtained by casually unbuttoned sleeves, by trench coat or jacket resting on the shoulders, by a shirt tail coming out or with lace up flat ballet shoes or sandals.

And for the attitude, it’s up to you … Try, for example, to imagine yourself walking on the streets of Capri or of a Greek Island 😉
