Hello and welcome to the Stampin’ Creative Festive Frenzy blog hop!
You may have arrived here from the fabulous Eimear (who just happens to be my upline!) or started here, either way I hope you enjoy the projects I’ve got to share with you.
For once, I was prepared for this blog hop in good time as I’ve been designing and making Christmas cards for our personal use (I need to get a move on!), designing cards for a class I held last Saturday and also planning a Christmas tags and packaging class on Saturday 12th December. If you are local and would like to come along please let me know – places are limited! If demand is high enough I will add a class in on Thursday 10th as well.
First I’m going to share the Christmas cards we made at last weekend’s class – I have already posted about one of the cards here, and was very excited when it won “A Cut Above” in one of the Paper Player’s recent challenges:
We also made these three cards:
I have included a close-up of the trees to show the sparkle – I stamped in Garden Green ink (after using Embossing Buddy, of course) and then quickly sprinkled Iridescent Ice embossing powder over them, then used the heat tool. I like the effect it creates.
I love the reindeer clip and have ordered more for the Tags and Packaging classes, so I hope they arrive in time! I’m not showing the project I’ve got planned with those, instead here are some of the other tags and bags we’ll be making, as a taster:
How fab is the Santa tag? I can say that because I’ve CASE’d it from my sister – her blog post is here. In fact, I’ll come clean – Liz actually made this tag! We both took part in a tag swap at a recent crop, which is how I have this “original”! My tag for the swap is the other one, with the bow.
Stampin’ Up! recently posted a video showing how to make a gift bag (using the gift bag punch board) which has a tag top closure and I immediately fell for it! You can see I’ve added buttons to form the closure with some of the gorgeous gold cord from the A/W catalogue.
I hope you like my projects and think there are enough for a frenzy! Now on to Kim to see what wonderful things she has produced! Click on the image below. There’s also a full list of our blog post links below, if you need it.
See you next month – in the meantime, Happy Christmas!
Caro

Thanks Eimear. I also love the tag topped giftbag. I would never have thought to add the tag. I’m also really glad to have found such a cute use of buttons!

Oh Caroline, you (and your sister) have been super busy. What a great selection of Christmas Cards, I so love the Sleigh Ride Edgelits, they really are just so elegant. I too have been playing with the Gift Bag Punch Board today, but not with the gorgeous patterns that you’ve used. Bright and cheerful and a real frenzy of festivities … Thanks for sharing xx
