There is an alteration to the steam locomotive rostered for Saturday 2nd April. BR Standard 4MT 4-6-0 75078 will continue throughout the week and will now give way to MR 4F 0-6-0 43924 on Sunday 3rd and not as previously advised, on Saturday 2nd.

The recent workings and photos of 75078 reminded me that I saw 75078 at Wareham on 1 April 1966, 50 years ago, around 4 months from withdrawal. Sadly I didn’t photograph it, keeping my photos for Bulleids (this was on a geography field trip with school!).
