The Beauty of Chiswick!

This post is dedicated out to every single Chiswick-ian I met since I moved to London. In a new city as big as London, full of excitement yet full of busy people getting on with their lives, it could be daunting to make new friends. Meeting new people is never an issue. It is developing those connections that are more meaningful than just acquaintances.

Chiswick, a lovely area in West London, is 20minutes away from the centre of the city. It is very green and right by the River Thames. It is a neighbourhood for families, for young families. Famous for its highroad, Chiswick is a hub for lots of local businesses. People who are striving to live their dreams and enjoy the joys of Life.

I was always a voyeur on Twitter. 2012 and 2013 witnessed a bit of engagement from my end. 2014 is when I turned into a tweeter! (Yes this is a real word). I realised that Chiswick is big on twitter. So many local businesses run by geniune people. Follow, favourite, retweet is how it started. Before I know it a TweetUp was organised and all of a sudden, everyone is real. People are no longer just a little square avatar with 160 characters. They actually walk and talk and are interesting.

A TweetUp turned into a ritual, and now it happens every month. New people turn up. A gathering in a pub in the centre of the highroad with live music and lots of stories to catch up on. This is a community. This is a neighbourhood that is fun to be part of. This is home! Chiswick peeps, thank you!
