Understand How & Why God Made You

When God created mankind – “Genesis 2:7 KJV And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” God:
1. Formed man from dirt, from the dust of the ground.
2. God breathed (air) into man’s nostrils the breath of life. ( God gave man a spirit).
3. And man became a living soul. (God gave man a mind, will and emotions).

In Genesis 1:26-30 you have why God created man and in Gen. 2:7 you see how God created man.

When Jewish people say Christians have 3 Gods and Jews have 1 God, ask them to explain Genesis 1:26 KJV
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness….”

The point is, God is plural as shown by “us” and “our”. In 1 John 5:7 KJV
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

When you look at why God created mankind, yes I heard for fellowship and worship, some even think we were made to sit on a cloud and play harps all day praising God. Some even think God is on an ego trip. Look at the overall picture. God gets praise and worship from heavenly beings, 1 Corinthians 15:39-49. The focus of this series is not God’s ego.

When God created man, he gave man dominion over all the earth. Dominion means supreme authority, see Gen. 1:26-30. So when Adam and Eve sinned, God cursed the ground and told Adam he will go back to dirt. But what about Adam’s soul and spirit?

Using Blender 3D I asked God to help me make a word picture explaining how man is 3 in 1. This is the best I could do.

Print out this picture of man’s 3-fold nature and as we go along, God will reveal answers to you. You will see how everything you do and say affects your threefold nature. You will understand how your heart is key to everything you do and how your will determines your spiritual walk.
