Apple iWatch release date is just a day away and tomorrow the much awaited smartwatch will no longer be just a rumor but a real deal. Apple fanatics has been waiting for Apple to announce a smart gear for a while now as rumors about a watch like smart wearable have been going around for more than 2 years. Although, most Android makers jumped into the wearable market rather early, Apple took its time to develop the right product. Here is what we know about Apple iWatch so far.
Why iWatch Now?
While Apple has been planning iWatch for quite some time the Sep 9 event seems like a perfect time to launch it. Apple rival Google has recently launched its “Android Wear” software that works with Android phone but is not compatible with Apple iWatch. So for Apple bringing a similar product to be relevant in the business is the need of the hour.
How will it Look?
so many artist have designed various graphics for Apple iWatch but there is no certainty over particular design of the smartwatch. As per some tipsters iWatch will come in two sizes 1.6 inch and 1.8 inch display and will have three variants, one on whom will feature sapphire display.
How will the iWatch work?
If rumors are to believe than upcoming Apple iWatch will be a compatible with iPhones. It will run on iOS 8 or similar wearable version and support popular social and fitness apps like Facebook, Twitter to display notifications and play as a fitness buddy via Health Kit and other fitness apps. Best of all Apple is hinting on possible tie-up with healthcare providers to give you an integrated smart health service via iWatch. Guess we will know more about that in the official announcement.
What will it cost?
If we go buy the example of other Android Wear Smartwatches like Moto 360 and Samsung Gear Live, Apple iWatch should be in the same neighborhood of US $250-300. Although with so much uncertainty over the features and functioning of iWatch it would be early to say that Apple wouldn’t play with the price to offer something unique to consumers.
