Rep Thissen puts broadband on top of rural agenda

Aitkin Age reports that House Minority leader Representative Thissen lists broadband as a top rural priority…

First on the list of agenda items focused on greater Minnesota is high speed internet. Over 99.9 percent of households in the seven-county metro have access to broadband service that meets the state’s goals. For the rest of Minnesota, this is only 80 percent. In many counties (including Aitkin County, one of the most underserved in the state) less than half of all households have access to broadband.
