Here is my entry for Paula’s (Lost In Translation blog) Thursday Special challenge. This week her theme is Pick a Word In May – Y2.
patulous – Adjective
literary – (especially of the branches of a tree) spreading.
‘I found him on a remote bench beneath a patulous tree’
technical Open; expanded.
These two photos are of an old black walnut tree. The canopy must be over 60′ feet wide. It is just wonderful to sit under it.

Wonderful photos. That tree must be so old. I’d love to sit under its shade with a good book.

I think a one story house would be neat under it. I’d love to live in it.
