The forty meter long pathway is clear of most vegetation right to the fences that border the green space. The beach access consists of 15 steps down a well designed concrete and rock staircase complete with hand rail. This fine gravel and sandy beach is narrow at high tides since most of the properties have concrete retaining walls built right to the edge of the ocean. At lower tides there is plenty of room to explore. The view is across the waters of Saanich Inlet toward Mill Bay on Vancouver Island. This viewpoint of the Salish Sea makes this a lovely place to start a walking or cycling tour around the neighborhood of Deep Cove in North Saanich. If you walk along Towner Road you can reach Towner Road Trail which connects to Warrior Point Trail. Both excellent pathways in your backyard.

You can get to Norris Road Green Space from Pat Bay Highway.  Before you reach ferry terminal follow the signs that lead to McDonald Park – Wain Road.  Stay to the right as you exit the highway and curve up to cross over the overpass. At the intersection turn left onto Wain Road.  Continue on Wain Road past West Saanich Road until you reach Madrona Drive. Turn left and continue along the road until you reach Towner Road. Look for the trail marker right near this intersection. There is limited roadside parking along Madrona Drive and no parking along Tower Road.
