Setchell Road Green Space

Surrounded by residential homes, the green space off Setchell Road provides access to the rocky shoreline of Deep Cove and Saanich Inlet. Fourteen steps down the wooden staircase and a few more steps along the trail brings you to an simple viewpoint with a rustic wooden bench. If you continue along the right side, toward the fencing, the pathway leads through a series of steps to the rock shoreline. This promontory provides protection to the marina and pier from southeastern winds and waves. The views of Mount Tuam on Salt Spring Island and Moses Point make this a lovely place to take some photographs as well as start a walk around the neighborhood of Deep Cove in North Saanich. The sparkling waters of the Salish Sea can be very picturesque.
