In my worship leading I often exhort the people of my congregation to worship God because “He is worthy to be praised!” He is by virtue of who He is worthy of our praise. He deserves to be praised because He is God first last and always. Aside from that though He is worthy to be praised because of what He has done, what He is doing and what He will do.
He is worthy to be praised because He is the Creator of everything. He is the Divine Artist who imagined the Crab Nebula and the Rings of Saturn. He is the Engineer who planned the Himalayas and the Grand Canyon. He is the Genius who engineered DNA and free will cramming both into a fistful of earth dust to make the first man. He is the Prophet who foresaw the fall of man into sin and chose to become the Architect of Salvation by hanging Himself on a cross rather than scrapping the whole plan for something else.He has become man’s life preserver! If that doesn’t make Him worthy I don’t know what will! The angels of Heaven stand amazed at this God of mercy and compassion. How can we do any less? He is worthy to be praised!

Yes we are and I cannot wait to see my Savior’s face.
So many Pastor J know about God and the things He has done but do not know Him meaning His heart , there is only one way we can know Him and just reading the Bible will not do this for us, not saying we are not to read the Bible but we need to understand what it is saying. Atheists often know the Scriptures but not God and Jesus said the Pharisee studied the Scriptures but did not know Him. We need God’s wisdom, He tells us it is the principle thing and found in Jesus Christ, who tells us to ask so we will receive and that we don’t have because we don’t ask , as Jesus will lead us into all Truth by by the empowering of The Holy Spirit, we will know the good things God has planned for us and we will know Him, He is Love.

But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. This is true Anne! Without the Spirit the Word of God has a veil placed over it. The Word reveals the truth but the Spirit illuminates it. Without the Spirit reading the Word is like trying to discern words on a page in the dark.
