God’s Is Not A Consumer Product

consuming

God is a consuming fire, not a consumer’s product.

We don’t get to take God off a shelf, like some retail product, we can’t take Him on some try before you buy type scheme.

The Awesomeness, of God, is not for sale. God is a wonderful giving God, John 3 verse 16: The Gift that He gives us leads to the vastness of His Presence, and the vastness of all He has for those who truly  believe and accept the Gift of Grace He has to offer.

Religion may be able to be contained in a box, and we could shop around for the different religions, but we can’t shop around for relationship with Our Lord and Our Friend. That comes through repentance and acceptance, of His Mercy and Grace.

Who knows what god’s are in the religious boxes for sale, consumerism religion, We will have a little bit of this, and a little bit of that, if it make us feel good we will have it. The God that created doesn’t come like that, He is Sovereign, we take all of Him or nothing.

Perhaps the challenge of accepting Him is too hard, that is why so many turn to something less. Luke 9 verse 23 to 25::

V23: “Then He said to them all, ‘If anyone wants to come with Me, he {or she} must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me’.”

V24: “For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of Me will save it.”

V25: “what is a man {or woman} benefit if he gains the whole world, yet loses or forfeits himself.”

The Gifts of God are free, but they come with a cost, of losing ourselves in Him, so He can turn us into the people we were created to be.

Perhaps that is why God gave the Commandment, Exodus 20 verse 3 and 4:

V3: :Do not have others gods beside me.”

V4: :Do not make an idol for yourself whether in the shape of anything in the heavens above or on the earth below or in the waters under the earth.”

In the Old Testament God did not reveal Himself to his people, because they were under the law and not under Grace. In The New testament God has revealed Himself supremely in the Person of His Son, Christ Jesus.

We can’t find The God that created us in a box of religion, we will find Him when we call out to Him, and His answer to our calling will be, Matthew 11 verse 28 to 30:

V28: “Come to Me. all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

V29: “All of you, take up My yoke and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for yourself,”

V30: “My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

The God that we serve is not a consumer product, but a consuming fire.

Hebrews 12 verse 28 and 29:

V28: “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us hold on to Grace. By it, we may serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe;”

V29: “for our God is a consuming fire.”

God Bless.
