If you have been craving for vegan doughnuts like we do, you have to make a special trip down to Dunwell doughnuts in Brooklyn, NYC! They are the coolest and most hip vegan dessert cafe in NYC. Their story, their branding, their products just screams artisan good quality doughnuts made with love. If you want to meet the founders behind the brand, check out this video!
There are very few seating spaces in the small cafe. We had to wait awhile and annoy people by giving them the silent eye contact (we did ours graciously with smiles of course). Most people I observed got donuts as takeaway in boxes. And the people seen here looked like they just came out of a fashion editorial.
The most unique flavour we tried that day was the salted rosemary doughnut which had the right amount of herb balance and was not as sweet as the others we tried. Overall, if you have a sweet tooth, you will love this place as they offer vegan milk shakes, chocolate and coffee with soy milk.
Each donut range from USD$2.50-$3.50 depending on the flavours. The team behind Dunwell doughnuts have created 200 over flavours by far but not all are displayed daily. There was an item I was tempting to get but resisted as we had yet to have lunch was the vegan ice cream scoops which can be served on top your chosen doughnut!!

Sigh praying that Singapore will have vegan donuts one day!!
Hello!
Thank you for reblogging this and for checking our blog.
We totally agree with you! We might have to try baking your own 🙂
Cheers,
Roland & Priscilla
Wish I can try but currently I only have a small toaster oven and my kitchen is too small (or maybe too many things lol) to make way for a bigger one. But I will definitely try baking some if I ever get one 🙂
