Much Ado About Nothing

We’re going to see how this post goes because I have been up since 9 PM last night and have had kind of an eventful day. I have recently been inspired to update this blog on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays that way you all know when to check back in and you don’t end up staring forlornly at your computer when you see I haven’t updated. Ha! As if that actually happened. No, actually, I just do better with schedules and there is my schedule and I am sticking to it.

Look! A new post!

A lot has happened since we last spoke. I have my car back and now I should put gas in it, though while gas prices are down so is my bank account. Gas will always be expensive when you’re poor. That’s the price of your hard work.

My thoughts exactly, Michelle.

I start volunteering at the middle school after school program tomorrow and I am so excited. I am also a bit nervous because the second I said that I am also getting an endorsement in physical science, the head of the program was all “You can do robots!” And of course I’m not going to say no, so of course, I can do robots now. My friend Carter is probably going to get a panicky phone call in the future. (Carter is a genius. One of those friends that you look at and say “why the hell am I not that cool?” He had a NASA internship (for his robots) before he was even in college and has a pretty successful band and is a snowboard instructor. So much awesome you’re kind of stuck going wtf just happened after you meet him.)

It is time to also let you all in on a little secret. I had an interview with PP (discretion is everything) and I think it went really well. I tried really hard not to sound to desperate because I want this job. I’d be willing to scrub toilets for the rest of forever if it meant I could sleep at night. That’s all we’re going to say about this right now though because I don’t want to jinx it.

Every interview ever.

One of my friends accidentally killed a bunny today (dropped a heavy piece of equipment on it somehow) and set their coat on fire. He feels really bad about the bunny kill and I was kind of teasing him about it, calling him a ‘bunny killer,’ and then I realized how awful he actually felt. I thought that I could cheer him up by telling him about this ex-boyfriend of mine who had accidentally run over a bunny with his lawnmower. It had screamed loudly and he had gotten splattered with bunny bits and then had to go pick up the rest of the bunny from the yard. Surprisingly, he did not take comfort in this story. Definitely not one of my finer moments.

Watch out, Mr Rainbow Sprinkles, for heavy machines and riding lawn mowers.

It’s time for a nap before some reading and then I’m off to my Neverland of dreams. Till Wednesday.
