Worship Night: Time to Bring Thanks

It’s time to gather together and bring our thanks to our Creator!

On Sunday, November 9th at 6:30pm, join us for a night of worship. We envision worship as responding to God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit with our passion, prayer, mind, and muscle. God calls us to respond to him, and our response is an act of obedience and thankfulness due to our Creator for all He gives and does.

Psalm 95:5-7 says:

In one hand he holds deep caves and caverns,

in the other hand grasps the high mountains.

He made Ocean—he owns it!

     His hands sculpted Earth!

So come, let us worship: bow before him,

on your knees before God, who made us!

We’re familiar with this concept of worship: bowing before the Lord and praising Him. But what does muscle have to do with worship? It means we also have to be active in our worship and bring thanks to God in a real-world way – which takes a little extra work.

For this worship gathering, we ask you to bring a donation of new socks. The socks will to go to Open House Ministries, a local shelter that focuses on equipping families with the tools, networks, and skills to live healthy, independent lives. Bringing socks will be an act of worship performed by giving instead of singing.

We’ll be sharing more about this gathering as it draws closer, including sharing a song we’ll be learning and delving deeper into this idea of active worship. In the meantime, mark your calendars! We only have worship nights a few times a year, and this is a special evening you won’t want to miss.
