When it comes to Nintendo, everyone can agree that Japan usually gets the best deals before anyone else. Back in April, Japan had been given Famicom Remix 1+2, a combination of the mini-games featured in both NES Remix 1 and NES Remix 2.

As you can guess from the titles, the games in these bundles were based on classics from the days of the Nintendo Entertainment System, such as MetroidSuper Mario BrosKid IcarusThe Legend of ZeldaBalloon Fight, and others. The bundle was released as a physical copy for Japan, followed by a digital release on the eShop for international gamers.

Well now, North America is getting that same love. Retitled the NES Remix Pack, it will be hitting store shelves later this year for the Wii U. As an added bonus, it will also include Super Luigi Bros., the backwards version of Super Mario Bros. in which our favorite plumber’s brother completes levels from right to left instead.

A specific date has not been given, but all sources point to it as coming ‘this holiday season’. A November or December release, perhaps? A price point has not been set either, but the Japanese version was released for ¥2,858. Roughly, that’s about $28.03. So perhaps we’ll be seeing it for $29.99?
