Hey, everybody. I’m Seamus. The new guy. I’m a contributor over at RPGMusings.com, where I write under the handle “The Opportunist”. I have recently become a huge fan of Marvel Heroic Roleplaying, and now I find myself here. This isn’t actually my first post here. You might remember the transition scene written between Captain America and Mister Fantastic in the Savage Land. That’s me.
I’m here today to present the Item Power Set for The Crimson Gem of Cyttorak, the mythical stone that gave The Juggernaut his powers. Why the Crimson Gem? Well, when the (unfortunately reconsidered) announcement came down about seeing Avengers vs. X-Men here, I got really excited about it. I wanted to give character design a try, and make up Colossus as he is now as the Avatar of Cyttorak. After the decision was made to wait until the event was fully published, I was left still wanting to take a swing at good ole’ Piotr. Realizing that it didn’t even really need to be Colossus, an Item Power Set seemed the best choice. Of course now I want to try out Fear Itself as an event. Oh, ambition. What a cruel taskmaster.
I’am alredy scared of Juggerllosus!
Great post and welcome!
Awesome stuff!
Wonder if you should add SFX immunity to the list. Juggernaut doesn’t need food, water and can survive in the vacuum of space.
I guess Godlike stamina should cover that.
That would be work! Playing a Devil’s Advocate on this, think the Limit Heavy Metal would be applicable? While it won’t kill him, I for some reason I remember Juggernaut always sinking like a rock stomping around the ocean floor because he was so big and heavy.
On the Second Wind SFX, I think you forgot the word stress between physical and die.
I thought about the Heavy Metal Limit, but I think I was still hung up on giving it to Colossus, who has that anyway. Now that I think about it, though, if someone like Namor got the gem (scary) he’d need to be able to swim like a nuclear torpedo. Maybe.
Do you have a complete Juggernaut?
Not as of this moment, no.
