Woman gives birth to premature sextuplets

Houstonians Lauren and David Perkins became the happy parents of six on Monday.

Doctors at the Texas Children’s Hospital say the three boys and the three girls prematurely born are in stable condition. The mother is also stable. The Perkins refrained from talking to the press for the time being.

This big family has a long journey ahead. No doubt!

Thomas and Amanda Stansel know about that journey. They also had sextuplets in 2009, but sadly four of them didn’t make it. The Stansels say they are blessed by their two daughters who survived and by a baby girl who came to this world four and a half months ago without fertility treatments. They say there’s not much they can tell the Perkins since they lost four of their six kids but they are happy for them and they wish the Perkins the best.
