A Short Story

I have finally posted the short story I promised ages ago.

My short stories don’t follow my imagination’s usual path of Science Ficion/Fantasy. They are small glimpses into a person or persons who discover ways of dealing with the world and times they live in. Of course, their paths are not necessarily our paths.

The Chosen was first published in Skive, The Short Story Quarterly. Issue 2, Dec. 2006 in its original form.

The many designer gowns kept each other at arms length as if none wanted to be tarnished. They all screamed, ‘Pick me! Pick me.’

Jasmine knew she hadn’t actually heard the plea. After all, clothes couldn’t talk or scream. No. They were voices in her head—echoes of her own words.
