Our Mexican Adventure

A few months ago my husband and I went to Mexico. I’ve always had an interest in archeology and ancient civilizations. One of my biggest dreams as a child was getting to see an ancient ruin. When we decided to go to Mexico, I insisted we go to Chichen Itza. It was brutally hot, and we’re not hot weather people, but it was so worth the trip. Ruins in the jungle. Cenote. Part of our trip was an opportunity to swim in a Cenote, or sink hole. You descended into a cavern below the jungle and swam in some of the coolest most refreshing water I’ve ever been in. I count this as one of the most amazing things I’ve ever gotten to do in my life. Columns from Mayan ruins. Pyramid!
